Shawna- Front Desk

I love making others laugh and having a good time. I like being the first one that gets to greet our patients and all the family members that come in with them. I really like how friendly this office is and how everyone becomes family. I married my high school sweetheart (Joe), and have two sons (Joey and Tre). We live at the baseball field for a little over half the year, then the other part of the year is spent with a house full of kids and families hanging out. Crafting is my favorite thing to do and decorate.

Trisha- Front Desk

I have over 4 years of Dental experience in a variety of different dental fields. Orthodontics is by far my favorite. I very much like working in an environment that is extremely positive and so caring and compassionate to our patients. Outside of work I enjoy spending time in nature, reading books and watching movies. I have a very large family that I adore that includes 6 kiddos: 4 boys, 2 girls, 2 fur children (my dogs), and amazing husband John.

Rian- Insurance Coordinator

I'm a people-person and enjoy learning about each patient's life and interests! It's rewarding to help friends to become more confident with a beautiful new smile. I look forward to being a part of your orthodontic experience! I've was a chairside assistant for 8 years and currently trying to expand my experience to include front desk and new patient treatment coordinating. So you may see me in multiple places in the office!

When I'm not at work, I love to go kayaking, tend to my plant collection, and play with my fur-babies!

Andrea- Chairside Assistant

I graduated from The South Western Career Academy where I obtained my certificate in dental assisting. My favorite part of my job is watching a patient come in who is shy because of the way their teeth look, and upon completion of treatment, they have become a completely different person, showing the biggest smile and so much confidence that they could conquer the world. It's a great feeling to know that I was part of the process. Our practice is a really fun place and I want all of our patients to be a comfortable as possible when they're in treatment. I love spending time with my husband Josh and our daughters. We enjoy spending time outdoors and making memories.

Lori- Treatment Coordinator

I graduated from The Ohio State University with my degree in Dental Hygiene and Zoology. Orthodontics has been my passion ever since! I feel so blessed to be part of a profession I love so much I truly believe that if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life! My husband Steve and I live on a hobby farm outside Hilliard where we enjoy our dogs, cats, cows and chickens. Someday we hope to raise baby goats! In our spare time we enjoy being outdoors hiking, biking and kayaking. I look forward to meeting you when you visit us here at Scioto Orthodontics!

Meredith- Chairside Assistant

I’m originally from Southfield,Michigan and have just moved to the Columbus area from Chicago, Illinois. I am so honored to be a part of the Scioto Orthodontics team! I’ve been a dental assistant since 2008 and an orthodontic assistant since 2010. I love making each patient feel comfortable and welcome when they come in for their visits. My favorite thing about orthodontics is seeing the amazing transformations and seeing the color combinations patients pick out! I absolutely love all things Disney (I even worked for the fairy godmother ;). Outside of work, I am an avid cosplayer, dog mom to my Aussie Prim, and Chapter Leader for the Jeep Babes Enthusiast Club Ohio Chapter. I love going trail riding, four wheeling, or going to music festivals with my husband Nate.

Taylor: Chairside Assistant

In 2012 I graduated from the Southwestern Career Academy with my dental assisting certification. I've been working in general dentistry for the past 10 years and I'm now expanding my dental knowledge into orthodontics. I married my high school sweetheart, Cody, in 2016. When I'm not working, I am raising my 11 year old nephew Mycah, being a professional dog mom to my 3 fur babies Roscoe, Cleo, and Pickles. I'm also a cake decorator at the Dairy Queen on Main Street in Hilliard :)

Kelli: Dental Hygienist

I graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene. I have worked in an orthodontic office since I graduated. I am the lucky person that gets to remove most of our patient's braces. I love seeing everyone's excitement when they see their smile for the first time after getting their braces off. My husband Rick and I live in Southern Ohio. We enjoy gardening, kayaking, and traveling.

Daya: Chairside Assistant

Hello my name is Daya Rood. I graduated high school in 2022 and immediately went into orthodontics within the same week of my last day of school! I love ortho with all it has to offer, from educating patients and parents on necessary needs and information, and the freedom of getting to work on patients myself. When I am outside the office I'm typically painting or drawing, taking care of my plants, or spending time with my fiance Kalani and all my nieces and nephews.

Jesse: Chairside Assistant

I was born and raised in Hilliard, and now live here with my high school sweetheart Paul and our two cats Stormi and Koko. I have been an orthodontic assistant since 2019. When I'm not working I like to spend time with my family and being outdoors. I love watching patient's confidence and smile change throughout treatment. I look forward to being part of your orthodontic journey!

Chris: Sterilization Technician

I grew up in Powell, Ohio and graduated from Olentangy Liberty high school. One of my biggest goals is to pursue dental school and become either a dentist or an orthodontist myself. I'm very fortunate to be given the opportunity to work alongside two incredible doctors while I build my resume and pursue my goals! Outside of work I like spending time with family, friends, watching sports, and working out. I look forward to meeting all of you in the office!
